Nathan is a seasoned leader in Business Value Design & Delivery, specializing in Design Strategy and Operational Leadership at Bayer. With a proven track record of 20 years in the industry, Nathan excels in transforming digital delivery into visionary customer experiences across diverse sectors, including financial services, e-commerce, lifestyle, sports, agriculture, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.

At Bayer, Nathan leads the Design Studio, driving innovation through deep discovery processes, strategic restructuring, and cross-functional collaboration. His leadership in managing a global design system, transitioning it to a unified stack with Figma, has streamlined workflows for hundreds of designers globally, resulting in significant cost savings and efficiency improvements. His expertise in human-centered design (HCD), user experience (UX) research, and design systems has been pivotal in shaping top-quality outcomes for new product discovery and customer product teams.

Before Bayer, Nathan served as a Senior Design Strategist at Edward Jones, where he utilized IBM’s design thinking to craft end-to-end experiences for high-value clients. His earlier roles, including Director of UX & CX Product Ownership at Scrubs & Beyond and Senior Manager of Digital Experience Innovation at New Balance Athletics, highlight his ability to drive substantial growth in e-commerce and digital experiences through strategic design initiatives.

Nathan’s extensive experience in creative direction and brand strategy is rooted in his early career at Momentum Worldwide, where he transitioned from graphic design to leading global marketing initiatives for major brands such as AB-Inbev, SeaWorld/Busch Gardens, Nikon, Microsoft, X-Box, and Coca-Cola. His multidisciplinary approach to design and leadership is supported by a strong educational background, including a BFA in Fine Arts & Design and advanced training in design thinking and leadership from MIT Sloan Business School.
